Barangay Cannery Site is located in Polomolok, South Cotabato. It is one of the developing barangays and considered as one of the urban barangay of the municipality. It is a progressive farming community, an ideal pineapple production center with a favorable climate. At 1,400 feet above sea level, it has a fairly even rainfall year round and is located along the typhoon free area of Mindanao.Cebuano and Ilonggo are the main dialect spoken in the barangay. Filipino based on Tagalog is spoken as the National Language. English is also widely used.
Most people in Barangay Cannery Site are Roman Catholics. There are also a large number of other religions including Islam within the community.
People of Barangay Cannery Site celebrates Pinyahan Festival every September 1st. This feast is founded by Bgy. Captain Mariano Superioridad in September 2008 who is known to be the "father of Pinyahan". It signifies the main crop production "pinya" (pineapple in English term) which has become the main source of economic opportunities within.
